You don’t need a day pass, you can just plop down, pay the $3 (or so) for a beach lounger if you use one, and chill. Chairs, umbrellas, shops. mojitos, they have everything. A taxi from the cruise port would set you back about $10 (or so).
NB: if you want to use the pool you have to pay a bit extra but it’s a great spot to relax and be waited on.
